NationaLease, a consortium of 165 independent truck leasing companies, has doubled in the last 15 years - from 280 facilities in the mid-80s to over 700 in 2006. NationaLease is a $4 billion franchiser of truck leasing companies with a total fleet of 150,000 vehicles served by more than 700 locations across North America. We believe in the entrepreneurial system. The key to their growth can be attributed to a more aggressive "business" approach. Since the mid-80s, NationaLease has maintained the same philosophy, but changed its structure. President Bill Ford has been largely credited for moving the company from an association-run perspective to a bottom-line business.
NationaLease Purchasing Corp., which serves as a separate buying
corporation for member companies of the National Truck Leasing System,
has been on a phenomenal growth curve, increasing from $2 million
in 1985 to $210 million in 2003.
The company's growth has not gone unrecognized by others. NationaLease
Purchasing Corp. took a bow, along with 500 other privately held
companies, which made INC. Magazine's 1992 list of the country's
500 fastest growing, private companies. Click
